The free ATO car logbook for Australian drivers, tracked automatically
RyeDC is an ATO car logbook and automatic mileage tracker made for rideshare drivers, and for anyone in Australia who drives for work. Turn on automatic tracking and your drives are recorded for you. You check them, and your logbook is built from what you confirm.

Three steps to a logbook
Turn it on
Settings › Automatic Mileage. The screen lists everything tracking needs, with a Fix button beside each.
Drive
Each drive is recorded with its route and distance, and filed as business until you say otherwise.
Check and export
Correct the odd drive, read your odometer now and then, and export the logbook the ATO describes as a PDF or an Excel file.
Automatic mileage tracking
No Start button. RyeDC picks up your drives, records when each one ran, where it went and how far, and files it as business by default. A drive it is not sure about is set aside as Not categorised for you to look at. It never files a drive as personal on your behalf.

Your ATO logbook, ready to print
An Australian logbook has to run for at least 12 continuous weeks and be representative of your year. RyeDC finds your representative period in your records, then prints a vehicle logbook with the odometer at each end, every journey's distance, destination and reason, and the business-use percentage.

Or log shifts from the dash
Prefer to type it? Tap Start Shift with the odometer reading, drive, and tap End Shift with the closing one. The distance is the span between the two, and shifts sit beside detected drives in one history.

Business use, worked out the way the ATO reads it
Your business-use percentage is business distance divided by the distance your odometer actually moved, not by what the app managed to detect. A drive the app missed counts against you rather than quietly disappearing, which is what a logbook is expected to do. Read the dash every few weeks and the app keeps its figures and yours in agreement.
A fare meter for private and booked trips
Fare Meter quotes a trip before it starts, meters it on your own rate card, and keeps the fare on the lock screen while you drive. Afterwards you have every line of the fare, and your earnings by week, month or financial year.

Built for rideshare drivers
RyeDC began as a companion for rideshare and taxi drivers, and the tools for the job are still here.
Cleaning register
A time-stamped record of each Full Clean or Sanitised pass, exported as a weekly, monthly or custom report.
Around Me
A map of the places other drivers have marked: public toilets, street food and surge spots, each with a card you can answer.
A look inside

Free, no subscription, no trip limit
Every feature is free, and there is no cap on how many drives you record. RyeDC is paid for by adverts.
Your records, your account
Drives, shifts and readings are saved to your RyeDC account and exported whenever you like. Nothing about your location is sent to an advertiser. You can delete the account, and everything in it, from the app.
