About RyeDC
RyeDC is a free mileage tracker and ATO vehicle logbook for Australian drivers, made by Pincab Pty Ltd. It began as a companion app for rideshare and taxi drivers, a fare meter, a cleaning register and a map of the places drivers need, and grew into the logbook it is now.
Who makes it
Pincab Pty Ltd, ABN 76 606 942 401, an Australian company based in Melbourne, Victoria. Write to hello@ryedc.com about anything: a card on the map that is wrong, a drive that was not recorded, a feature you want.
Free, paid for by adverts
Every feature is free and there is no subscription. RyeDC shows adverts, which is what pays for it. Your location is never sent to an advertiser.
Your data
Your shifts, drives, readings and trips are saved to your RyeDC account so they survive a new phone, and exported whenever you like. Automatic mileage uses your phone's location in the background, only while you have it turned on, and only to record your drives. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app or from the account deletion page. The privacy policy says the rest in full.
Tax
RyeDC keeps records; it does not give tax advice. Everything on this site about the logbook method comes from the ATO's own pages, cited on the ATO logbook page, and a registered tax agent can say how it applies to you. No app is approved or certified by the ATO.
Names
Uber, DiDi and Lyft are named on this site because drivers for those services can use RyeDC. RyeDC is not affiliated with, or sponsored by, any of them.
